Noah, Kadie, Micah and I have been enjoying the bird feeders on the patio - and so have the birds! The kids frequently play and draw out there while I fold laundry by the door, the birds serenade us. We even have a little family that has laid a nest in our strawberry hanging basket!

Noah had been enjoying learning his uppercase and lowercase letters via his v-tec "laptop." He is now able to recognize all of the uppercase letters, and almost all of the lowercase! Preschool here we come!

While playing with the kids in their bedroom, I thought I would get a video or two of each of them doing what they do best. It's a good thing I had the camera rolling because Kadie says her first sentence about 1/2 way through when she gets the cup to sit on top of her toy, "I got it!" For a quiet girl that only speaks 5 words, I was shocked!

Noah, Kadie and I bundled up and went for about a mile walk in our wagon down to the new park by our home. We enjoyed some bagels and cream cheese, apple juice and fruit as a snack and got some much needed sunshine - despite the chilly cold weather. Needless to say, Noah really enjoyed himself!

Noah, Kadie, Grandma Sunny and Mom all went out for a fun morning and afternoon at a local indoor play gym about 5 miles from our home. It's called "Out of This World Pizza and Play" and has tons of things for the kids to climb on, play with, and not to mention, lots of pizza, cookies and salads to choose from when you work up an apatites. Noah really enjoyed himself and as you can see, reminded me how he is really growing up. He was determined to scale the slide by himself and a GREAT job!

Kadie, Noah and Mommy drove down to Canby to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Sunny, as well as Grandma Carol in Canby durring the snow storm that brought 18 inches of snow an ice to the Portland area the week of Christmas. If Mommy was going to be "stuck" with kids anywhere - it was going to be with family!

This video was taken the day the snow storm came in - Saturday, December 20th. Between that Saturday, and Thursday, December 25th. the Portland area (including Hillsboro where we live and Canby where we were staying), received an estimated 18 inches of snow and ice combined. Noah enjoyed the snow (for about 10 minutes), where are Kadie (who was bundled up in her snow suit), didn't really care for the experience.

This video was taken at the "inside park" we had a membership to until it had to close due to financial exhaustion. The park is in the gymnasium of a local church and could not longer stay float with the economy. I am happy to say, myself and several other stay at home Moms are volunteering to keep the place open.
